DAY NINETY SIX - Tiverton pool

Mostly a quiet day spent at home. Had to rein in my spending as I wait for my U. S. dollar deposit to shrink into British sterling, so have kept myself in, away from treasure hunting at the shops. I’ll need every bit of cash I have on hand for my trip up to Ashton-under-Lyme tomorrow – I’ve been saving two pound coins for just a moment like this. (Read more in Day Ninety Seven.)

One nice thing I can always count on about Fridays is, as Katya and Oliver take swimming lessons up at the Tiverton pool between 4 and 6, I always know where to find their mom  – also good to know if I’m needing one of those snotty-nosed kisses and smooshy hugs from that cute baby Ella. One really noice (Brummie for nice) thing is that the pool is only a few blocks away, as the weather gets cooler and darker – earlier and earlier.
